Today we had a great time continuing to bond with the caravaners at our worksites. We've really enjoyed getting to know them and learning about their lifestyle. It was especially interesting today to learn about two of our caravaner friends who live 30 miles away from each other in Canada, but see each other more in Florida!! Our jobs for today included continuing to paint the rooms of a house and continuing to put up siding on another house. We're loving our time in Florida and the opportunity to meet new people!! For our second day in Florida we split up to paint, strip some wire, and put up some soffit. I was with the group painting and we had a good time. We listened to music, shared stories, and got paint on the walls, and also ourselves. We didn't finish the painting today, but we are excited to get back to work tomorrow. Jackson Walston Today was our first day working with Habitat for Humanity! We got there and were warmly welcomed by all of the members. We then broke off into two groups and went to different work sites. My group was hanging soffit and j-tracks. We ended up working individually, each of us working with a "care-a-vanner" or individuals that take their RVs and winter in Florida. This was a great experience and gave us an opportunity to bond with them. Today was a day full of learning experiences and making new friends! Can't wait to see what tomorrow holds! Madison Trebour
